Ridin’ Dirty Gravel is, at its heart, a gravel race. BUT, we are all about good people, good food, and building community. Plan to hang before, during, and after the ridin’! It’s the fourth of July weekend, after all!
The Spot
Sittin’ Pretty Farm will serve as the Ridin’ Dirty Gravel home base! Nestled in the beautiful driftless region in Viroqua, Wisconsin, Sittin’ Pretty offers communal spaces where people can come together, and retreat spaces where people can rest and restore through nature and art (and in this case, of course, BIKES).
Sittin’ Pretty Farm will host their traditional Friday Night Pizza Barn, complete with live music and packet pick up, offer Friday and Saturday night campin’ for race participants and their people, and welcome racers at the start and finish line for the race! Rest assured there will be a big ol’ party at the farm post-race. Join us on the ridge!
When we approached Steve, the head honcho in those parts, about this event, his enthusiasm and shared love and support of welcomin’, inclusive natural spaces assured us we were in the right place. All proceeds from Sittin’ Pretty go towards support of Further Along, their 501c3 non-profit. The aim of Further Along is to expand humanity through nature, adventure learnin’, service, and community buildin’.
